A NEW ERA IN BIO-PRINTING
TRANSPLANTABLE ORGANS AND TISSUES

Precise Bio’s innovative 4D-bio-fabrication technology is a true platform for innovation. It comprises cell expansion, biomaterials, processes, printing technology and other required critical technologies. Key advantages over other biofabrication approaches are the ability to generate complex tissues in a highly reproducible manner and to apply lessons learned from the fabrication of one tissue to the next. This allows for rapid innovation and product development, and provides a foundation on which to build a robust pipeline of proprietary products with substantial clinical and commercial value. This platform can solve critical limitations of existing 3D bio-fabrication technologies and is paving the way for the engineering of more complex tissues and organs.

Precise Bio’s technology is designed to transform the treatment of serious diseases, and to address unmet needs in many indications. The technology overcomes multiple challenges in scalable, reproducible manufacturing of bio-printed tissues and organs.

BIO-MATERIALS AND PROPRIETARY REGENERATIVE MEDICINE AND TISSUE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

World-renown experts in molecular and cell biology, biomaterial design and production, bioengineering and biomaterial interactions and clinical and regulatory processes work together to bring innovations to clinical practice.

SINGLE CELL RESOLUTION 3D BIO-PRINTING

3D printing platform that achieves single cell resolution and spatial accuracy to enable fabrication of organoid constructs that have structural integrity while maintaining long-term cell viability. Laser material interaction together with continuous, uninterrupted flow of high quality bio-ink with a broad range of viscose materials results in the ability to fabricate complex constructs.

PROVEN, STANDARDIZED AND SCALABLE BIO-FABRICATION PRODUCTION

From sourcing, expansion, bio-ink preparation and formulation, through real-time 3D laser printing and post process maturing and quality control, the proven scalable platform enables fabricating highly viable tissues with strong integrity.

EVOLVING NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR THE FUTURE

Precise Bio’s proprietary printing platform leverages the advantages of LIFT (Laser Induced Forward Transfer) and takes it to a different level.

Conventional LIFT technology showed initial promise for 3D bio printing. However, lacked the manufacturability and production worthy properties needed to make it a viable tool for tissue bio-fabrication. LIFT has been proven to be a technology that can structure live and viable tissues with the anatomical structure, viability and functionality as natural tissues.

WHY IS SINGLE-CELL RESOLUTION (SCR) IMPORTANT?

Integrity of a human tissue can be achieved by mimicking the anatomical structure and material composition of the tissue as it is in nature. Cells and viscous materials are the building blocks of the human tissue and printing at high resolution of viable cells and viscous materials that structure the tissue is the only way to get bioprinted tissues that are reproducible and viable.

Conventional bio-printing technologies cannot maintain the viability of the cells in a highly viscous environment, as required by the biological materials. This results in insufficient tissue integrity. Precise Bio’s printing platform is the first single-cell bioprinting platform that can control both resolution (cell by cell printing) and precise spatial positioning.

SOURCING

The basic “building block” of any type of tissue is human cells. To create transplantable tissues or organs, cells are harvested from the recipient patient, or a donor, based on specific tissue requirements.

0

EXPANSION

We execute the expansion process beginning with a small quantity of cells, allowing them to proliferate until there are enough cells to structure the desired tissue.

0

BIO-INK

The bio-ink is a composite material that has several functions. It maintains the biological properties of the cells in the printing process and includes

  • ECM (Extra Cellular Matrix) which is human tissue material that gives it its structure;
  • Growth Factors that maintain viability and help the tissue proceed to mature;
  • Cross link materials that enable curing tissue post-printing.
0

BIO FABRICATION

The cells and bio-ink are now mixed in a cartridge, similar to “regular” printers. They flow through the print head and are deposited cell-by-cell in the anatomical structure, just as they are (do) in the human body. Layer by layer, the cells are positioned with the biomaterials and cured to maintain the desired structure.

0

MATURING

The structured tissue now goes through a “bio reactor” process to mature. From entering as various layers of cells and biomaterials, to mature into tissue with integrity, morphology and functionality.

0

QUALITY CONTROL

During the maturing phase, we thoroughly test the tissue to verify the specifications prior to transplantation.
